BRUSHING

    • Use the BELLAMI Professional Black Hair Brush daily to keep both your natural hair and extensions smooth. Hold hair in a ponytail and gently work out tangles starting from the ends and moving upward.

    • Be sure to brush between rows to prevent matting near the roots. For K-Tips or I-Tips, use your fingers to gently separate individual strands as they grow out to keep them from twisting together.

  • Washing:

    • Thoroughly detangle before getting hair wet. If needed, divide your hair into sections to make washing easier.

    • Apply a color-safe, sulfate-free shampoo using a back-and-forth "Z" motion between the rows rather than scrubbing in circles. Stick to lukewarm water and avoid hot water around the attachment points.

  • Conditioning:

    • Smooth conditioner through mid-lengths and ends only, keeping it completely clear of the attachment sites. Leave on for the directed time and rinse thoroughly.

    • Tip: Conditioners, oils, or silicone products applied directly to the attachments can cause extensions to slide.

  • Drying:

    • Apply your favorite leave-in conditioner, heat protectant, or lightweight treatment oil from mid-lengths to ends.

    • Gently squeeze out excess water with a microfiber towel before blow-drying.

    • Keep your dryer on a cool or warm setting when working near the bonds or tracks.

  • Thermal Styling:

    • Always coat hair with a reliable heat protectant before using hot tools or blow-drying.

    • Keep tool temperatures at or below 450°F. Excessive heat over time causes dryness, brittleness, and premature color fading.

    • Infinity Weft Note: Never apply hot tools directly over the top stitching/spine.

  • Daily Protection & Swimming:

    • Consider installing a showerhead filter to protect hair from minerals, hard water, and chlorine that trigger brassiness or dryness.

    • Avoid getting sunscreens, bronzers, saltwater, or pool water directly on the extensions, as these cause severe discoloration.

    • Before swimming, wet your hair with fresh tap water, work a leave-in conditioner through mid-lengths and ends, and secure it in a low braid or loose ponytail.

    • Never go to sleep with damp or wet hair. Secure hair in a soft, loose braid each night to prevent tangling while you sleep.

  • Professional Services & Upkeep:

    • Always rely on a certified Bellami stylist for color adjustments—avoid home dye kits or DIY color treatments.

    • Schedule routine maintenance appointments with your certified stylist based on your specific extension method to keep your natural hair healthy and your extensions looking fresh.
